Building Inspections - Randall Parker cbi@cityofdouglas.com

Responsible for review of plans and issuance of building permits for all residential and commercial buildings and remodeling projects within the city. Conducts inspections of construction projects to insure compliance with SBCCI Codes and local codes and ordinances. Includes the application and enforcement of all federal state and local ordinances and rules and regulations pertaining to the City of Douglas.

Code Enforcement duties include the enforcement of the City Code of Ordinances and the issuance of business licenses and alcoholic beverages licenses for locations within the city limits. City Marshall duties include the issuance of citations for removal of inoperable vehicles and theft of city utility services.

Grants Administration Division

Responsible for seeking out, obtaining and administering grants and low income loans in all areas of housing, public works facilities, recreational, and economic development programs for the city.

Receives and process rezoning requests for property located within the city limits of Douglas. Enforces city's Zoning Ordinance for compliance.
