Responsibilities
The Inspections and Permits Division is responsible for the review of plans and issuance of building permits for all residential and commercial buildings and remodeling projects within the city. The division conducts inspections of construction projects to insure compliance with International Code Council building codes and local codes and ordinances. Duties include the application and enforcement of all federal, state, and local ordinances and rules and regulations pertaining to the City of Douglas.
