Planning and Zoning Division

The Planning and Zoning Department handles public inquiries, annexation and rezoning requests, subdivision and site plan review, short and long range planning, grants administration, mapping services, composition of land use regulations, and assures implementation of the community Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and Subdivision Regulations.

Comprehensive Plan

The Comprehensive Plan is a document mandated by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and must be revised every 10 years.  The plan contains the city’s goals and objectives and covers topics such as transportation, population, housing, land use, economic development, natural resources, historic resources, community facilities, and land use.  The most recent Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the Mayor and City Commission in 2018.

Urban Redevelopment Plan
