The plaque will be dedicated in honor of Johnnie L. Roper, Gladys Coley, Jackie Clara Allen, Elisha Harrell, Rev. Woodrow Gaskin, Frank Jackson, Mary Garman, Lilly Toombs, Oscar Street, and J.D. Murray for their efforts in pursuing civil rights in Douglas and Coffee County during the 1960s - 1980s.
